In my weekly Substack, I gather the stories of my childhood, weaving together nostalgia, traditions, and the quiet magic of mountain life.

Now that I live in cities, the mountains exist only as faded memories, but through these stories, I keep a part of my long-lost home alive. My Substack is my way of holding onto those fragments in this ever-changing world.

What is Gal.Gal?

Some are simple stories, some lessons, other are sayings and adages that still echo in my mind.

Gal Gal is actually a fruit, sour as hell but tastes amazing, and somehow the most glorious of all citrus to me. Known as Citrus pseudolimon for the botanically inclined, this fruit is found in the hills of Himachal and Uttarakhand.

For me it's not just food, it's a slice of mountain life itself, served with love, laughter and that peculiar sting of nostalgia, only childhood can gift you. And so, GalGal is what I decided to call my Substack, the place where all my stories reside.

So, if you’d like to taste a little of that world, come along.Subscribe to GalGal, and perhaps you’ll find in my stories a flavour that reminds you of your own sharp, sweet, and unforgettable.
